When you think of the period of the American Art Deco style, which was also reflected in aviation, everyone thinks of the Lockheed Electra or Beechcraft 18 airplanes, for example.
But we cannot forget the airplane made famous by American aviators John Clifford Garrett, Arlene Davis or Howard Hughes.
This is the Spartan Executive 7W airplane, which will be presented for the first time at the Historical Airshow in Mladá Boleslav, but also for the first time in the Czech Republic!
Since only 36 aircraft were produced, this is a truly rare piece. Its graceful shapes and very unusual shape of the wings will be part of the flight program and static displays at the airport. 🤩
This particular one will fly to us from Germany from the Artdeco Aviation

As we have already reported, the original piece from the Mladá Boleslav quartet of these aircraft will arrive from Germany.
But you can look forward to another representative of this type and that is the Czech C-11 OK-JZE,
which you could have seen at last year’s Historical Airshow 2022.
But even this piece is another important part of the history of this group.
The aircraft was born in 1955 under the reg. OK-JIL and transferred to Svazarm,
later he was a star in the sky of the Boleslav Four. Unfortunately, OK-JIL was flown in 1980 and stored for several years.
The first attempt to resume operations was only successful in 1991, when it received a new OK-JZE registration and flew until 1998,
when he was grounded again. Between 2003 and 2008, it looked at the sky, but due to the end of the life of the engine, again
got into the corner of the hangar. Since 2014, the aircraft has been officially loaned by the state-owned enterprise LOM Praha and has begun
engine overhaul and patched up in 2018 with a new green coat to look forward to
already this June at the 14th Contemporary Aviation Day in Mladá Boleslav!

An important part of the flight program will be a reminder of the traditional constructions of Czechoslovak aviation technology.
We have already featured some and today we would like to add the unique Aero Ae 145 air taxi! And not one, but two!
Both will fly from Podhořany airport, and one of them made an amazing flight from Australia back to his native country this year.
OM-DAJ and VH-DUH will be looking forward to you in a joint demonstration!

Another confirmed group of well-known Czechoslovak Zlín series 42 aircraft is the group called Bemo-box. This group resumed its activity after less than twenty years and comes from Benešov Airport.
In addition to his athleticism, he will also perform an attractive balloon shooting show for the audience!

he flew with us in the mentioned four under the registration OK-JIK.
We are very happy that he will return to us and remind us of this important history!
